WHO WE ARE
Jacob McIsaac
Jacob has had a passion for carpentry from a young age and has spent many summers developing his navigational and trade skills on Georgian Bay. He graduated from George Brown College in 2019 and holds a degree in Construction Management as well as a diploma of Building and Renovation Technology. From acoustic guitar building and fine furniture projects to residential construction, Jacob has successfully executed many projects in various disciplines of the carpentry trade. From barging to construction work, Jacob respects each and every project he is involved with and prides himself on quality, project communication skills, and attention to detail.

In 1945, the Scott Boat Livery was purchased by Neil McIsaac (Jacob's great grandfather). Allan McIsaac, (grandad) owned and operated McIsaac Bros and the McIsaac Marina in Parry Sound with his brother Roland for the next thirty years after it was purchased. Even after the marina was sold, Jacob's father Joe McIsaac continued to operate his tugboat, Trimac, which supplied businesses and cottagers on the bay with gas and oil for many years. In 2021, Jacob decided to merge his passion for carpentry and love of the bay and set out to find a boat that could enable him to provide his own service. Although the aluminum pontoon barge he found may not cruise with the elegance of a wooden McIsaac water taxi, Jacob strives to uphold the same level of quality service his family has provided to residents of the bay community for many years.
